The Bourke family of Kilmullen Farm in Newcastle, County Wicklow have been in the lamb business for three generations. Our lamb is reared on our family farm where they are free to graze and where their diet and welfare are of the outmost importance.
The lamb is clover and grass-fed, with the natural addition of the herbs that can be found in the hedge-rows eg wild mint, wild garlic, to name but a few which gives Wicklow lamb its distinctive flavour and what Kilmullen lamb is renowned for, allowing for full traceability, and also giving it a better taste and texture. We offer a wide range of the highest quality lamb products, traditionally matured and expertly butchered for the absolute best in tenderness and taste. Bord Bia Approved.
Our lamb is cut in our new cutting room on the farm, by an experienced butcher, having been hung for 10 days, so we have full quality control. A range of cuts are available - leg of lamb butterflied or filleted, lamb chops, rack of lamb, shoulder boned and rolled - and we sell full or half boxes, all vacuum packed ready for your freezer. The lamb is labelled so you know exactly what each piece is See our order page for details.
